If Nigella is the Goddess of cooking and Delia is the Queen - then I think we're probably more like Dame Edna and her trusty side-kick, Madge!
To be perfectly honest, I am not entirely sure how this all snowballed and we ended up here.
It all started when Dame Fan (as she is affectionately known) decided to write a different recipe book for charity.
Originally, my job was to supply large quantities of encouragement and meat and dairy free recipes. But, as time went on, we found that as well as asking our friend chef Ced about recipes for the book, we'd end up developing and improving vegan recipes which we wanted to use!
And by the time we finished Dame Fandango's book, we realised that we'd created enough recipes for an entirely vegan version too!
All the recipes which we'd developed and tested and loved, we'd put online separately - and it was fantastic. Whenever we needed a reminder or weren't sure what to cook, we had our own private collection which we could dip into!
Soon, friends and family (and my clients!) were dipping into it - and it became clear that it was ridiculous to have this great resource which wasn't shared more.
So, we decided that maybe we could put recipes, which we live by, to good use and raise money for a great animal charity.
And as soon as we decided that, we found Dorset Wildlife Rescue and intuitively knew it was the right charity to help (in fact, it was just about all I could do to stop Dame Fan getting in the car and whizzing down there and then - she's already known locally and nationally for rescuing Parsley and Ty and it's not unusual to find her diverted from a journey in hot pursuit of an injured animal).
Initially we thought we could sell the recipes like an e-book and donate the money to the charity - but we had no idea how many we were going to sell or if people would buy from someone they didn't recognise etc. And also, these recipes were so lovely, we really wanted as many people as possible to be able to access them easily - to make it as easy as possible for people to remove meat and animal products from their diet - and to simply eat well.
That's when we took a deep breath and said, 'Okay - we'll make them free and ask people to donate - and hope for the best!'
Now, we don't know if we're doing a mad thing or a stupid thing - and we have no idea if or how this will work - but we're willing to give it a try.
So, that's where we are now.

And the team has grown a little along the way!
